As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you'll be at the forefront of ensuring top-notch performance in troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance, customer training, and general support for our machinery at customer facilities. • Hands-On Excellence: You'll prepare, execute, and follow up on installation and maintenance activities, providing exceptional aftercare for new installations. Stay in close contact with customers and keep them updated on progress.
• Technical Mastery: Maintain and hone your skills to be proficient in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and training customers on Marel equipment/solutions. Routine maintenance jobs will be a breeze!
• Quality and Discipline: Prepare and report your visits meticulously to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers. Your updates will keep customer support coordinators and field service administrators in the loop.
• Prioritization: Set your priorities in line with company and customer needs, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
• Customer Focus: Deliver a confident, empathic, and competent service, ensuring our customers feel supported and valued.
• Problem Solving: Escalate any service delivery issues according to company processes to provide the right support for the customer.
Main Tasks
• Secure a meeting with the customer upon arrival onsite and receive briefing from the customer.
• Prepare and execute the work as agreed with the customer.
• Configure PLCs.
• Manage the customer experience.
• Identify sales and service opportunities.
• Update and validate information on the Installed Base.
• Process hours and expenses.
• Provide technical reporting.
• Keep stakeholders informed and updated.
• Inform Customer Support about arrival time if outside of the expected window.
• Confirm reception of a work order to the resource planner.
• Update Customer Support and customers on the progress of the work.
• Debrief customers on work done and machine performance. • Report on quality issues and non-conformities (NCR).
Your profile Skills and Abilities
• Deep knowledge of principles and processes for providing stellar customer and personal services.
• Ability to execute agreed tasks and meet deadlines with precision (KPI).
• Results-oriented, with a strong ability to follow through and respect deadlines.
• Excellent face-to-face interaction skills and commercial service abilities.
• Social perceptiveness.
• Strong technical competence in an engineering discipline.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent grammar and communication skills. Education, Knowledge, and Experience
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Software Engineering, preferably from a technical college, or equivalent knowledge level.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Recognized product training on food processing equipment preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in field service within an equipment/software manufacturing environment is a plus.
