Are you a mechanic who loves diving into complex technical challenges? In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of public transport vehicles. From routine checks to advanced troubleshooting—you ensure everything keeps running or sailing safely and reliably.
There are several teams focused on different types of transport. Depending on your preference, you can specialize in:
- Rail vehicles: Maintenance of modern trams or metro trains, with a strong focus on electronics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
- Water-based transport: Technical servicing of electric and hybrid vessels used for passenger transportation over water.
- Urban road transport: Work on modern electric or diesel-powered vehicles in public transit.
Your job
- Carrying out both standard and specialist repairs.
- Testing and releasing systems after maintenance or malfunctions—you decide if a vehicle is safe for service.
- Actively contributing to inspections and quality assessments of vehicle system components.
Your profile
- You have experience as a mechanic and are ready for more technical challenges, responsibility, and growth opportunities.
- You enjoy working with modern equipment in well-equipped workshops.
- You find satisfaction in work that directly contributes to the mobility of tens of thousands of daily passengers.
- MBO level 4 or equivalent in a technical field (e.g. mechatronics, automotive, electrical engineering).
- At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic (auto, electrical, installation, or similar).
- You are precise, solution-oriented, and flexible.
- You hold a European Category B driver’s license (truck license can be arranged internally).
- You speak communicative English.
Offer
- Gross monthly salary between €2,700 and €3,850 (based on 36 hours), depending on experience.
- Additional allowance for on-call or emergency shifts.
- 13th month salary, 8% holiday pay, and pension scheme.
- 21 days of leave, with the option to purchase more.
