Our client, one of the largest and most respected global science and technology organisations, needs an Electronics Test Engineer for their site in Belgium. They are constantly breaking new grounds in the application of cutting-edge technology in the space sector delivering pioneering solutions and successfully transferring their expertise into pushing the boundaries of space.

 

Your job

 

As an Electronic Test Engineer, you would be responsible for the testing of electronic circuits within the framework of satellite equipment, starting from the board level test (including FPGA and BIOS/BSW code) and up to unit level test (where complete integrated equipment will be tested).

 

On top of the electronic tests at ambient temperature and pressure, you would also assist during the environmental acceptance campaign of the equipment and you would have to make sure that the boards/equipment adheres to its specifications under all circumstances. You would also participate in the equipment-level functional and performance test campaigns and would document test results.

 

Your profile

 

The ideal candidate would be a multidisciplinary, pro-active, creative, enthusiastic, and result-oriented team player and should have:

 

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or similar by experience.
  • Experience with program/control/connect test equipment such as:
  • (Programmable) power supplies
  • Oscilloscopes (including various types of probes and probe amplifiers)
  • Multi-meters
  • Function Generators (incl AWG)
  • Programmable loads
  • Data logger
  • DC power analyser
  • LCR meter
  • Knowledge about ESD is a must (both for equipment and personal).
  • Ability to work with fine pitch and delicate electronic components and PCBs.
  • Ability to follow a detailed step-by-step procedure.
  • Affinity with scripting is an asset.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
