Job Description
Our client, based in Alicante, specialises in building luxury yachts and is looking for an experienced Head of Furniture Installation to join their shipyard.
As the Head of Furniture Installation, you will supervise a team of 8 interior fit-out installers. You will lead and coordinate the installation of high-quality interior furniture and joinery on board, ensuring premium finishing standards, accuracy, and timely completion. You'll combine your expertise with leadership, helping your team deliver exceptional luxury interiors.
What you'll do:
- Manage and supervise the furniture installation team on luxury yachts.
- Coordinate installation of interior furniture, cabinetry, panels, doors, beds, wardrobes, galley units, and other fitted components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
- Ensure all work meets luxury yacht quality standards.
- Coordinate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, designers, and production managers.
- Control workflow, deadlines, materials, tools, and installation priorities.
- Inspect completed work and correct defects before final handover.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment on board.
What we're looking for:
You have:
- Proven experience in high-end furniture installation.
- Strong background in carpentry, joinery, or luxury interior fitting.
- Experience managing a team is essential.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of technical drawings and production schedules.
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under deadlines.
- Knowledge of luxury finishing standards.
- Reliable, organised, and hands-on leader.
- Experience with luxury yachts is an advantage.
- Knowledge of marine materials, adhesives, fasteners, and installation methods is an advantage.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
- English communication skills are an advantage.
Employment package:
Annual salary: €30,000 – €36,000 gross based on experience.
