Our client is a manufacturer of parts for the automotive sector, specifically specialised in transmission assemblies and components. A high-tech company that operates internationally and has a team of 200 engineers within their plant in Belgium. For the position as Software Development Engineer you will enter a high-tech environment in the region of Bruges where they develop and produce drivetrain solutions.

 

Your job

 

  • You develop, implement and validate new software needed in their test lab and production environment.
  • You write scripts for build-& test automation and maintain the framework/platform (PLC, CANbus, Labview drivers) together with your colleagues.
  • You will be part of the industrialization team responsible for the development and maintenance of workbenches in the Test Lab and Production.

 

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor/Master degree in electronics/electrical engineering/mechanics.
  • Affinity with control theory and automation.
  • Min. 3 years experience as Software Development Engineer in a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of C, Java or Labview.
  • Nice to have: Affinity with realtime and FPGA systems, database experience and experience with test benches.
  • Detail oriented and structured.
  • Strong problem analysis skills.
  • You are a team player, but can also work independently.
  • You are fluent in English.
