Our client is a manufacturer of parts for the automotive sector, specifically specialised in transmission assemblies and components. A high-tech company that operates internationally and has a team of 200 engineers within their plant in Belgium.For the position of Development Engineer Electrical Drives you will take responsibility regarding the development of e-motors. E-motors for powerful electric drive units.
You coordinate the integration of the e-motor and the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic cooling interfaces in the transmission, together with the a team of engineers.
Your job
- Based on calculations, simulations and tests you will work out technical efficient solutions.
- Therefore you work closely together with suppliers, the cost calculation department, test lab and designers.
- You can balance the technical solutions with various aspects such as risk, feasibility, timing and cost.
- You discuss solutions with management, the customer or the supplier to obtain the most optimal solution.
- After the production is started you keep in touch with the production engineering team to ensure continuous improvement of the products.
- You will be involved in the requirements definitions and risk analysis.
Your profile
- You have a master’s degree in electromechanical, electrical or automotive engineering, with an affinity for electrical machines.
- Experience in e-motors or motorCAD is a plus.
- Analytic and problem-solving mindset.
- You are fluent in English.
- Team player, coordinator and dynamic personality.
- First experience in a similar position is required.
